7:00 p.m. Business Meeting called to order by President, Beth Bossert.

Mrs. Burg opened with prayer.

 

Joe Corbis Representative Bonnie presented samples of pizza, dessert pizzas, grilled cheese pretzels, etc. Very good! She gave samples and spoke briefly about the new H &S fundraiser that will take place in March 2008.  Every child who sells 11 items will receive a container of chocolate chunk cookie dough.  Profit looks good on sales.  Also, Joe Corbis is giving away three trips to Disney World and your child could qualify by participating!

 

Event and Meeting Schedule 2007-2008 discussed (attached). 

 

H & S Final donation to the school is approximately $8,000.  Kelley Andrews will present Mrs. Burg with the check.

We are in need of a Coffee Chairperson.  Bonnie Reich would like to step down and assist someone else in the on-going fundraiser.  If you know of anyone or you would be interested please contact an H & S Officer.

 

Mrs. Burg spoke:

                4/20-4/23 2008 Middle States Review Team will be at OLA.  Sunday a reception will be held.

                Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday they will “live” in the school.

                This is going very well thanks to the committee and is a very hard process.           

               

                Birthday Celebration is well underway.  We have a great group of planners.  September will be a

                School Picnic; a trip to Philadelphia in April, a monthly celebration held throughout the school

year.

 

Mrs. Burg will sponsor a World’s Finest Chocolate Bar Sale to fund the buses for the Philadelphia

Trip.  Look for that information in early fall!

 

Grade 6-8 will receive new Science books; Social Studies will be evaluated next.

 

Grade Report- all 5 schools who participated met to discuss the survey

1.        IP & S are a concern; another indicator is needed besides these two to show progress

2.        4-8 Grades ILA; there is a huge list of 23 that will be scaled down and more uniform

14 new schools will begin to use the Grade Report making the total 19 of 37.  OLA will Mentor some of the new schools.

 

                4 New tables have been purchased for the Kindergarten classrooms.
