Mrs. Burg
ðITBS Results
Standardized
tests given to our 3rd and 8th graders.
Strengths – Reading Comprehension,
Vocabulary and Reference Materials.
Our teachers attribute our
strengths to
the Guided Reading Program at Our Lady of the Angels.
Weaknesses- Capitalization,
Punctuation and Spelling. Our
teachers attribute some of our weaknesses to how
the test
questions are setup. For example, our
children take spelling tests and write the words. In
the ITBS
test they look at 3-4 words and have to circle the correctly spelled word. The teachers
plan to
periodically test differently, so that the children are familiar with this
testing. Also, they
will utilize
the CUPS procedure.
Our Lady of the Angels falls above the 60% percentile;
with the National average being 50%.
We continue to grow in our education!
